Spring has finally come to the tri-state! Warmer weather means more time outdoors for you and your family members, both two and four legged. With the arrival of spring comes the arrival of concerns for your pet.
Warmer weather means:
Fleas are back! Are your pets protected? Take advantage of our special offers on all of our Frontline products, Trifexis, and Nexguard, and make sure you are protected.
Heart worms- heart worms are transmitted through infected mosquitoes. We recommend year-round heartworm prevention and annual testing. Has your pet been tested? If not, please contact our office to make an appointment. Treating heartworms can cost up to a thousand dollars or more. Twelve doses of heartworm prevention costs between $69 and $220 per year. We have different preventions for you to choose from and a friendly staff ready to help you choose which prevention is best for your pet.
Temperatures are going up- As spring progresses and turns to summer temperatures are on the rise. If you bring your pet along when running errands, make sure the air conditioning is running and do not leave the vehicle for to long. If you know that you will be spending considerable time inside a building, do not bring your pet along, leave them at home in the air conditioning. Temperatures inside a vehicle can reach 100 degrees within minutes. Prolonged exposure can lead to overheating and can be fatal.
Enjoy this spring with all of your family members.
